Climates of the Mind - A panel on Climate Psychology, Communication and Action
Join us for an engaging panel discussion featuring experts in climate psychology, effective communication and actionable solutions. Explore effective strategies for conveying climate urgency, practical steps for meaningful action, and coping mechanisms for navigating climate anxiety and despair. Don't miss the opportunity to ask questions and empower yourself in the face of climate change.
Join us for a panel discussion moderated by Silvio Schneider, a Master's Student in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science. For the first 45 minutes, our panel of experts includes:
Prof. Kimberly Nicholas: A renowned sustainability scientist, writer, and speaker. She is the author of the Los Angeles Times bestseller "UNDER THE SKY WE MAKE: How to be Human in a Warming World" and the climate advice newsletter "We Can Fix It."
Marlis Wullenkord: A Postdoctoral fellow in the environmental psychology group and member of the Nature-based future solutions profile area. With a background in psychology, her research delves into how individuals respond to and cope with global environmental crises, such as climate change and biodiversity loss. She focuses on the roles of psychological needs and emotions for climate denial and climate protection.
Pimkamol Mattsson: A senior associate senior lecturer at Lund University. Among others, she is engaged in environmental psychology and nature-based future solutions.
Dorottya Szentkirályi: A Master's student in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science with a background in psychology. She has a special interest in how psychology and sustainability intersect, with a focus on human-nature connectedness, psychological well-being and pro-environmental behavior.
Francisco Alomia: A student at the Masters in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science at Lund University. He comes from Ecuador, has a background in the Latin American startup ecosystem and has 9 years of experience volunteering at civil society organizations participating in social impact projects.

Following the panel discussion, the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions for the next 45 minutes.
