Railway Research Symposium at Lund University
Lund University is proud to announce the first Railway Research Symposium. The first session of the symposium is open to the public, and features presentations about research on why trains are late and what to do about it, and how railways can be adapted to changing climates and extreme weather events.
The speakers are leading researchers from Lund University, University College London, the University of Southampton, and more.
The first Lund University Railway Research Symposium provides a unique opportunity for attendees to learn from and engage with leading experts on the latest developments in the railway field. The topics to be discussed at the symposium include delay prediction, climate adaptation, railway infrastructure asset failures and maintenance, dwell times, and capacity and punctuality. The symposium is organized by the Railway Research group at Transport and Roads division in the Technology and Society department at Lund University.

This event is part of Sustainability Week 2023, an annual event organised in collaboration between Lund University and Lund Municipality. This year, over 60 lectures, guided tours, exhibitions, and more are arranged.
