Explore your local environment - guided walking tour with environmental psychology
Have you ever thought about how we are affected by our daily environment? How does it affect us and our behavior? In this guided walk we will explore urban (green) areas and talk about it in the themes of recreation, mobility, and lighting.
This event will showcase environmental psychology methods to the general public through guided walks. We will start by gathering in the Botanical Garden (Södra Plan) with an introduction to our research and then we will split into three smaller groups and start the walks.
About the research group:
Environmental psychology studies how people experience their environment and are affected by it, and how they through their own behavior, affect the environment. The subject deals with both the physical and the social environment and the interaction between them. It can be interiors, urban spaces or landscapes. The research is usually holistic, but also individual environmental factors are studied.
