Talk: Sustainability #3 Health and Sustainability
What is the link between human health and the 17 global goals in Agenda 2030 from UN? Opportunities and challenges that the sustainable development agenda presents in the context of multidisciplinary research on global health will be discussed at a seminar hosted by Social Medicine and Global Health at the Faculty of Medicine and Lund University Sustainability Forum.
The seminar will discuss the close links between population health and sustainable development, and the potential in recognizing this. Introducing the seminar, Professor Per-Olof Östergren will talk about monitoring sustainability by health indicators, and if research interventions can be evaluated by their impact on health. The seminar will also discuss the importance of health inequalities in a sustainable development context.
